IRIS Red Deer, AB

For consistency, IRIS engaged Interior Projects to provide store design and project management services for the new tenant improvement project at the Timberlands Market development in Red Deer. This included major cost savings solutions to meet budget constraints.

A series of hurdles created challenges from the get go and throughout the project. The physical space was significantly different than base building drawings, services to the space needed to be coordinated by the tenant, and delays in millwork delivery risked missing our open date.

With continuous communications, coordinated efforts, and a constant push for solutions, Interior Projects led design consultants, construction teams, the millwork vendor, and suppliers so that IRIS would open on time and on its strict budget.

IRIS Langley, BC

IRIS and its retail store development team needed a new store design concept. They commissioned Interior Projects to develop a store design that was relevant, bold and fresh. The new concept needed to reflect IRIS’ brand and its focus on attracting millennial shoppers as well as staying relevant with current customers.

The new store design concept brought in the deep and rich look of the espresso stained oak, common to the older store design, but contrasted this with new white and bright elements to showcase the store’s eyewear products and to provide focal points throughout the store’s interior. A bold greenish blue was introduced to extend the brand’s tone.

A three-dimensional eye-chart was introduced within the waiting area, but visible from the retail space. Not only does this provide an interesting feature within the store, but it adds emphasis on the fact that IRIS provides eye exams in addition to selling eyewear.
