IRIS commissioned the studio to come up with a new store design that was relevant, bold and fresh. The new concept needed to reflect IRIS’ focus on attracting millennial shoppers as well as staying relevant with current customers.
The new design concept brought in the deep and rich look of the espresso stained oak, common to older stores, but contrasted this with new white and bright elements to showcase the store’s eyewear products and to provide focal points throughout the store’s interior. A bold greenish blue was introduced to extend the brand’s tone.
A three-dimensional eye-chart was introduced within the waiting area, but visible from the retail space. Not only does this provide an interesting feature within the space, but it adds emphasis on the fact that IRIS provides eye exams in addition to selling eyewear.
